20 car brands that are slowly dying out

The automotive industry rarely stands still, and a recognizable badge doesn't guarantee that buyers will keep showing up. Some of the brands on this list are dealing with falling sales, unusually small lineups, financial pressure, or declining importance in markets where they were once much stronger, while others are attempting major reinventions before they lose even more ground. That doesn't mean every one of these companies is destined to disappear, but based on where things stand in 2026, each has a legitimate fight on its hands to remain relevant.

10 Isuzus that earned legendary status & 10 everyone forgot

Isuzu built some genuinely great vehicles, then somehow became the automaker most people only remember from a used-car lot or an old ad campaign. Part of that comes down to timing: Isuzu quietly exited the U.S. passenger market in 2009, leaving a lineup that had drifted into badge-engineered GM leftovers. But buried in that history are cars that won rallies and reshaped Japanese sports-coupe design, right alongside a pile of models nobody talks about anymore. Here's 10 that built the legend, and 10 that quietly slipped away.

Cheap V10 BMW M5 gets German plates and autobahn run

A cheap V10 BMW M5 finally gets German plates and heads onto the Autobahn for a proper high-speed run. The naturally aspirated V10 delivers a dramatic soundtrack as the sedan accelerates hard through the gears. Despite its age and bargain purchase price, the M5 still feels brutally fast when the road opens up. The combination of rear-wheel-drive character, sharp throttle response, and long-distance comfort makes the Autobahn the perfect place to experience its personality. It is an exciting reminder of why the V10 M5 remains one of BMW’s most memorable performance sedans.

10 Suzukis that refused to die & 10 that never found an audience

Suzuki has spent decades making some of the most stubbornly reliable vehicles on the planet, the kind that outlive their own marketing budgets. It has also produced a genuinely strange run of flops that vanished from showrooms within a couple of years. Both sides say something about the company, since Suzuki tends to succeed when it keeps things small and simple, and struggles the moment it tries to compete somewhere it doesn't belong. The survivors kept going through emissions crackdowns and entire market exits, while the failures barely made it past their second model year. Here's 10 Suzukis that refused to die, and 10 that never found an audience.

Teen inherits late great uncle's cherished truck as first vehicle | Happily

A teen fought back tears when his family surprised him with his beloved late great uncle's truck as his first-ever vehicle. Brodie Likens, 16, from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, shared a close relationship with his great uncle Tony Gutierrez, a former police master sergeant, which stemmed from his mom Emily's fond memories with her aunt and uncle when she was younger. Emily's Aunt Nancy is only 16 years older than her, and during her childhood, Nancy and Tony became like second parents to Emily, who would spend half of her summers staying with them. This closeness was passed on to Emily's children, who had the heartbreaking experience of watching Tony battle against aggressive Parkinson's disease for the last eight years of his life. Tony's passing in July hit Brodie particularly hard, Emily said, with her son crying for days on end after hearing the news about his great uncle. It was over the summer that Emily had been searching for a first vehicle for Brodie, but nothing felt quite right. Emily's mom, Gail, then mentioned Nancy was keen to downsize, and so Tony's truck might be looking for a new home. The idea of purchasing the vehicle made Emily cry, she admitted, as Tony had spent his life working in the police force, protecting others, and so there was a sense that his beloved truck would protect Brodie, too. Having shipped the truck from Florida, Emily then called her son away from his homework, on October 9, when he was encouraged to head outside. There, the 16-year-old set eyes on what he knew was his uncle's cherished possession, saying he was fighting back tears as he went to check out the vehicle and saw his uncle's hat, which he then clutched.
